We have officially launched our affiliate program. This is a multi-tier program that pays a residual commission on all hosting fees… we pay whenever someone you refer signs up with us, and then we pay you again every time your referrals pay their subsequent invoices for as long as they host with us.

Rates are 25% for direct referrals (tier 1), 15% for tier 2, and 10% for tier 3. There is no minimum payout.

There are typically over 7,000,000 monthly searches for “web hosting” on Google every month. In spite of a crowded market in the web hosting industry, demand remains strong for two likely reasons. First, thousands of new websites are launched every day, and second there is significant churn in the industry (existing customers seeking new providers due to dissatisfaction with current providers).

This represents a tremendous opportunity for affiliates joining our program, particularly since conversion rates are expected to be very high due to eligibility for tier 2 and tier 3 commissions being contingent on the affiliate also hosting with us (tier 1 has no such requirement).

The affiliate program is intimately linked with the service, which makes both the service and the affiliate program more attractive together than either would be by itself. What this means is that when an affiliate refers someone, that person is more likely to become a customer (and generate a commission) in order to take advantage of higher payouts in a very attractive affiliate program themselves.

Our affiliate program is open to all, but we are actively seeking affiliates who are members of social networks such as LinkedIn.

LinkedIn members represent a vast market for web hosting services as most either have websites or are planning to start one soon.

The multi-tier structure of our affiliate program would be particularly attractive to LinkedIn members as members have easy access to other members who are in need of web hosting, and simply need a reason to switch providers… the ability to monetize their own network connections in a significant way through multi-tier residual commissions provides just such a reason.

It can be frustrating to set up a blog, write great content, and then receive little traffic in exchange for your efforts. In order to build traffic and readership, it’s important to be an active member of the blogging community… to interact with other bloggers who write about similar topics, and to share what is commonly referred to as “link love”.

Building inbound links for direct traffic and SEO, and becoming known within the “blogosphere” as a respected source for information means networking with other bloggers to get the word out about your blog.

To make it easier to find other bloggers to help you raise your profile in the community, we’ve started a new group at LinkedIn. All bloggers are invited to join our Blogging for Business Group.

Once you join, start a discussion to introduce yourself and your blog and feel free to post articles from your blog. Ask and answer questions, share tips and ideas.

Most importantly, feel free to contact other members who write on similar topics to arrange:

  • Link Exchanges
  • Guest Posting on each other’s blogs
  • Article Trading
  • Blog Carnivals
  • Any and all other mutually beneficial arrangements
Join the Blogging for Business Group now, and be sure to Digg this post to help get the word out… the more members we have, the greater the potential benefit for all members.
